A quick look:
In case you do not know, this is a small 3D model of something (Himeji Castle in this case) that is made up of thin sheets of laser cut steel. You will need tweezers, cutters, and a file might help but not necessary. Difficulty is in number of sheets, curving that metal pieces into the right angle to fit, getting the tabs in properly, and figuring out which piece is the right one. The pieces are not labeled. You have to look at the instruction sheet to verify the correct piece and sometimes, this can be pretty hard to do. Because, in some cases, they can look alike and you might cut out the wrong one. However, this is not something that if you just take your time with you can get it done. Like in cutting; measure twice cut once/ look twice cut once.
The pieces go together using a tab in slot method. Once tabbed in you either fold the tab down in place or twist it 90 degrees to lock it in. These are normally for "inside" spaces. Places that you would not see.
In the end I like the results and it's nice to work on something different. They have a good number of different things to build. Ranging from famous building, bugs, Transformers, Star Wars and Star Trek to name a few. These are really just little metal statues so nothing moves. But very fitting for a desk piece. Be sure to look them up at you local hobby store on online and try it out. Just be sure to watch out for the sharp edges. :)
